Technical Support Specialist - Cincinnati, OH

As the Technical Support Specialist, you will oversee initial employee help desk requests, provide customer service and basic training to employees, and build relationships with third-party vendors to ensure repairs and maintenance happen in a timely fashion. Additionally, the Technical Support Specialist will provide support for any special IT-related projects such as policy/process changes, company-wide upgrades, and launching new programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-user problem resolution over the phone, through remote desktop connection, and/or in-person
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware problems
  • Deliver, tag, set-up, and assist with configuration of end-user hardware, software, and peripherals
  • Perform minor desktop hardware repair for PC equipment not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements

The ideal candidate will be a positive self-starter with the ability to work seamlessly with team members of all departments and levels. Other requirements of this position include:

  • At least one-year related work experience and/or training (a degree in Information Technology preferred but not required)
  • Strong customer service skills with demonstrated ability to show sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of software/hardware problems in a network environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems
